What’s Dubbing?

Dubbing, or the process of re-recording the dialogue over the original soundtrack, is a technique used in filmmaking or video production to reproduce a foreign-language film in the target language. The process usually involves a person who is a native speaker of both languages. This person is referred to as a “dubber”.

In order to dub a movie, the original soundtrack must be available and it must be synchronized with all other elements in the movie, such as visual effects and body movements.
